Used Tourist Submarine Argos (16 passenger)

The tourist submarine Argos is a 16-passenger all electric submersible with a 100 meter (328 ft.) diving depth. The submarine was built in the early 1990s and has only made 120 dives. It has been in storage for the last several years.

The author had an opportunity to pilot the Argos just after it was removed from passenger carrying service. The submarine performed flawlessly. The Argos is a reliable submarine of robust design well suited for trouble free operation. Notable features include the largest pressure hull diameter and largest viewports in its class.

A 16-passengr tourist submarine can operate in places where it would be economically or logistically unfeasible to operate a larger submarine. However, a 16-passenger sub can easily net its owner $1 million per year in profit.
